Iran conducts pogrom against Baha'is
By James V. Cowin
Iran's fundamentalist Islamic government has asked civil servants and military personnel to disclose their religion, part of an official persecution of the Baha'i faith. Baha'is are already forbidden to apply for jobs, thousands of Baha'i children have been deprived of an education, and eight members of the Baha'i National Assembly in Iran were recently shot after secret trials. Dozens of Baha'is have been executed in Iran since 1979.
