Rumour had it that all employees of the Iranian Television Institution were Baha’is and they refused to broadcast religious material about Islam. However, after Mr. Sha’ban Jafari and members of his sports club recited poems in praise of His Holiness Ali and recited the Qur’an Surahs [chapters], which were broadcast on the television, this rumour was weakened.
