Notice to the Baha’is
Our reporter has received news that as the government is of the view that no tension should be created under the current circumstances and a calm environment is needed in order to prepare for the essential reforms which have been proposed to his Imperial Majesty, a notice has been issued to all Baha’is who have written their religion as Baha’i in their employment applications that if they are prepared to write their religion as Muslim and also prove concretely that they fully follow the sacred religion of Islam and its spiritual teachings, the government will not take any action against them.
As is known, for the past 5 years, those Baha’is who are serving in government departments and who openly declared their religion as Baha’i on their employment applications have no fear of disclosing what their religion is.
