Egypt Muslim Brotherhood Criticizes Shiites and Defends Baha’ism

According to Shia Online — Mohammad Saad El-Katatni, the secretary general of the Egyptian Freedom and Justice Party, which is the political faction of the Muslim Brotherhood movement, criticized the Shiites and said, “We will not allow Egypt to become a land ready for exploitation for Shiites.”

He added, “Of course, we welcome respectful relations with different countries, but we will not allow any country to interfere in the internal affairs of Egypt.” Cairo-Tehran relations are included in the same framework...

About the Muslim Brotherhood’s view on religious freedom in Egypt, he went on to say, “We believe that the Baha’is, Qadianis and Shiites can each enjoy religious freedom in Egypt and hold their own religious ceremonies, but we must be careful that the size of these groups [does not become] bigger than it is now in Egypt, and their growth should be stopped.”
