A big secret was revealed this week, and now we hear it for the first time. That is that the representative of a certain religious sect that has not been recognized in Iran has approached [United Nations secretary general Dag] Hammarskjold and given him a detailed description of the pressure on the religious minorities in Iran. He has requested that Hammarskjold ask the Iranian government not to put pressure on the minority [group] that has been mentioned by that representative. They say that Hammarskjold has written a letter to the government in this regard asking them to refrain from strictness. Some believe that, in this way, from the foreign point of view, the government finds itself in an embarrassing situation; otherwise, the government would be more strict about the mentioned sect.
