A telegram has been received from a group of women from Sangsar who are complaining that their relatives have been jailed for some time for being Baha’is, and they are requesting that their statements be investigated.

Please, first, do you know what the issue is?  Second, if you have taken action because of closing [of the shops] in violation of the holiday ordinances, you must consider a punishment within the legal limits so that these people will not show themselves to be so oppressed.
