Mr. Amir Abdollah Eslami, the leader of the Association of Defenders of Islam in Qom, in a detailed letter that begins with “He is the Avenger…”, has insulted the writers of Sahar, and claimed that the Sahar newspaper has started republishing only to defend the Baha’is, and has threatened us by promising to take action and to try us soon in the national and Islamic courts.
We forgive him for the insults and threats he has made. We hope that God Almighty and the true Muslims will guide him. But regarding the publication of Sahar newspaper, we explain that as soon as General Zahedi, in the last days of his rule—where there was no mention of a fight against the Baha’is—allowed [us] to publish Sahar, we immediately published the newspaper, and we hope that the writer of the above name will at least be admonished for his slander.
