Foreign Media and Iran’s Situation

The foreign magazines and newspapers which have reached Iran in the past two weeks included articles and news about Iran, and in most of them the recent events in Iran and the propaganda in creating dispute have been criticized. Iran’s government has been warned against supporting any extreme action which may occur. Several telegrams have been received by the government authorities in this regard from different countries. It is said that these news [items] and telegrams have somehow reached His Holiness Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi. Publication of these articles and the arrival of these telegrams have caused the government to be cognizant of the international importance of this matter.

Mr. Sardar Fakher Hekmat, the speaker of the National Consultative Assembly, who is courageously trying hard to protect the integrity of the parliament and the nation of Iran, in explanations he gave in the parliament’s closed meeting, warned the extremist representatives of the political importance of this issue. Once again, he did not allow matters that did not need the parliament’s involvement to be discussed. In the Consultative Assembly’s open meeting on Saturday, Mr. Arsalan Khal‘atbary, Mazandaran’s representative, analyzed the issue in a fitting way and defended Iran’s international integrity and prestige.

It is said that the government is vigilantly watching the situation and has not allowed any disturbance to be created for any of Iran’s residents in the name of religious propaganda.
