Moghaddamfar, the IRGC deputy, said, “Today, an important part of the so-called reformist spectrum has suffered the fate of the Freedom Movement [of Iran] and the National Front,” noting that, “The event on 2 Khordad [22 May], where a significant number of people were led by Mohammad Khatami, has now lost its popular social base inside the country, and the likes of the Baha’is, counter-revolutionaries, Monafeghin, and the arrogant, support their positions and actions; that is exactly the same fate that befell the Freedom Movement after standing up to the Revolution and the people, and it did not find better supporters than the Monafeghin and the foreign opposition.”…

He added, “Unfortunately, today we are witnessing the same positions, concordance and harmony between the Second Khordadi mass medias affiliated with the personalities of this event, and medias such as BBC, VOA, Manoto, etc., most of which have Baha’i and Zionist background. Today the situation is such that it can be said that their political positions are on one side and in many cases, they pursue common subjects and goals…
