Without an investigation by the Supreme Judiciary Council, any death sentence or the confiscation of properties by the Revolutionary Courts is prohibited.


The Supreme Judiciary Council informed all the Revolutionary Courts and the Revolutionary Judiciary Councils [of the following]:

Esteemed Islamic Revolutionary Courts and the Revolutionary Judiciary Councils of the Nation, according to the approval of the Supreme Judiciary Council, [are not permitted to] confiscate properties or issue death sentence judgments, without the file being referred to this Council for a final review. These are neither enforceable nor executable. If the aforementioned court orders are enforced without the knowledge of this Council and the written approval thereof, the offenders will be prosecuted.
