...People of Kashan and Dr. Berjis
During the dark years of the Razmara government, a Jewish physician in Kashan preached Baha’ism while practicing medicine, and with his false practice, he caused the killing of more than a hundred Muslims and violated their honour. The government remained silent in the face of Dr. Berjis’s crimes. Finally, after a long time, eight fanatical people of Kashan, led by Mr. Rasoulzadeh, with the support of the elders of Kashan’s guilds, punished Dr. Berjis for his actions and then presented themselves to government officials. Announcing the group’s arrest, the people of Kashan closed the bazaar and their shops and went to the house of the city’s clergyman, saying, “We also participated in this operation, either release them or we will join them.” To get rid of the people, the Kashan police transferred the mojahedin [zealots] to Tehran to be tried in Branch 2 of the Tehran Criminal Court.

The trial of the perpetrators of Dr. Berjis’s murder was held in Tehran. Dr. Abdollah Razi agreed to represent the Baha’is. In the last session of the court, Navvab Safavi suddenly entered the courtroom with Amir-Abdollah Karbaschian and Seyyed Abdol-Hosein Vahedi.
