Congratulations to Asghar Farhadi From a Number of Rajaei-Shahr Prisoners
After the screening of the film “The Seller” at the Cannes International Film Festival and the winning of two awards at this important international festival by Iranian cinema, six prisoners in Rajaei-Shahr Prison, in unison with the art-loving people of Iran, congratulated Asghar Farhadi, the creator of this art work, on this success.
The text of the message from these prisoners, which was given to “Saham” for publication, reads:
Dear Mr. Asghar Farhadi,
Your extremely valuable success at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as Mr. Shahab Hoseini’s brilliance in winning the Palme d’Or prize for best actor evoked a sense of pride and joy in everyone.
We hope that all of us Iranians, by helping each other, may succeed in having a worthy share in the pride, prosperity and honour of dear and great Iran.
We, a group of political-ideological prisoners of Rajaei-Shahr Prison, while applauding and congratulating you and other actors of the film, sincerely wish you more success and prosperity.
