Celebrations at the Military Governorate
On the occasion of the blissful birth of His Holiness the Messenger of God, a glorious ceremony was held at the Military Governorate (the former place of Haziratu’l-Quds), the like of which has never been seen before in Iran. General Bakhtiar and officials of the military governorate welcomed warmly the special guests and the general public of Tehran. The hall was decorated in an interesting and dignified manner. The image of the Holy Prophet, the Lord of the pious Ali ibn Abi Talib and all the Holy Imams were installed all around the hall. The religious scholars and clerics were present in the specially designated seats, and during the whole period of the ceremony, the sound of Islamic slogans echoed among thousands throughout the hall.
More than two hundred thousand residents of Tehran were served in this hall.
This unprecedented act by Brigadier General Bakhtiar, the military governor of Tehran, is commendable. We hope that God Almighty will always sustain and support him in carrying out the affairs of the fatherland.
