We Are Confident That Muslims Are Victorious; However, Care Should be Exercised Not to Provoke Others
These days, there are many rumours about the issue of Baha’is and the actions of the clergy, particularly with regard to the actions of Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi and others, who are eager to eliminate the Baha’is from among the Muslims. Most of the rumours are spread by the ignorant ones. The Muslims must be extremely vigilant about destroying and eliminating [the Baha’is’] position, so that they may not find any excuse.
The news we have obtained from reliable sources indicates that the grand ayatollah, Mr. Borujerdi, and other marja‘-i-taqlid [religious jurisprudence authorities] from Qom, Tehran and other cities have not stopped pursuing this issue, and the correspondence and negotiations with the relevant authorities continue; appropriate and fundamental actions have also been promised.
As stated, the government does not approve of any actions that are violent and riotous. They believe that the work [related to] the Baha’is should be done calmly and patiently through the current law of the land. And those who want such an important action to be expedited are not informed of some currents and are unaware of the problems that it may produce for government.
A reliable source gave us hope that this unfinished action would be followed up and completed regularly; however, it requires more time. Besides, the government is gradually eliminating the Baha’is from the government offices; several prominent [Baha’i] figures have recently been ousted from the government offices.
The reliable news we have received gives us hope that the issue is not forgotten and it will not be overlooked by Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi, other marja‘-i-taqlid and scholarly circles; in any case (though it may take time) the victory over these unknown and infamous [sic] people is with the Muslims.
In conclusion, we expect from our interested religious brothers and Muslims that, as they have so far walked in the path of peace and sobriety and have refrained from riots, chaos and tough actions, [they will] wait and, by the will of God Almighty and with the help of the Guardian of the Age―may God hasten His manifestation―let the victory of the Muslims over the dirty Baha’i sect be realized. God Willing.
