With approval of the Islamic Consultative Assembly

The Parliament Clarified Responsibilities of the President towards Application of the Constitution

News Service: Yesterday morning, the open meeting of the Islamic Consultative Assembly was presided over by Speaker of Parliament Mr. Hashemi Rafsanjani.

Words of the Representative of Tehran:

Mr. Ebrahim Esrafilian, the representative of the people of Tehran, was the next speaker who addressed, in his defiant words, the accusations of the western colonialist assemblies regarding the violation of human rights in Iran by pointing out the report of the members of the British Parliament, in connection with the mistreatment of the Baha’is by the Islamic Republic of Iran. He asked those who claimed to support human rights, “How can it be possible to remain indifferent to the execution of the blacks in London, Birmingham and Bristol, who are being killed because of their skin colour?”

Talking about the incident of burning a pregnant Pakistani woman in the UK, the speaker, emphasizing that they are only thinking of securing colonial status, said, “How do journalists not see such matters, and where were the human rights defenders back then?”

The representative of Tehran, in another part of his speech, pointed to the idle talk of the leaders of the perverse Baha’i sect and the publication of one of their books in London; the membership of a number of the renowned Zionists in the House of Justice of the Baha’is; and the clear relationship between the Baha’i leaders and the British Government. Concluding his words in this regard, he stated, “Baha’is are created and polished by the British. Therefore, they are bound to support this sect.”
