Interruption of Television Programme Due to the Death of Shoghi Effendi

Two days ago, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Shoghi Effendi, Tehran Television halted its music programme and stopped all programmes after six for the same reason.

It must be noted that as a result of the articles in the print media and ignored by the governments, Baha’i propaganda on television has increased. Last week, they brought Miss Forough Farrokhzad, who is from a well-known Baha’i family, to the television, where, under the pretence of an interview, they insulted all Iranian religions. The extent of their shamelessness was for Forough to claim on television that, “if there is one poet in Iran, it is Nima Yooshij; the rest just feed off [his work].” Nima was a Baha’i from Nur, who has been adamant for years to destroy Persian poetry.
