[Letter from the National Assembly of the Baha’is of Iran to Local Spiritual Assemblies in regard to maintaining composure and observing wisdom]

“In recent days, the spread of glad tidings and the news of victories won by the Baha’i world community has, once again, triggered a sense of tribal solidarity, and, in particular, has caused the spread of polemic work of various forms in newspapers and magazines, books, communications and brochures, in order to distort the minds and manipulate opinions in relation to the Cause of God. They assume that they can prevent the progress of the Baha’i Faith in the human world, and can deter this great spiritual movement in different continents of the world, and can, in particular, taint the minds of the compatriots of the Ancient Beauty towards the followers of the Greatest Name in the sacred land of Iran. Since facing the truths of the Faith does not support their goals, they resort, as usual, to various accusations and different kinds of calumnies.

“Please draw the believers’ attention to these machinations and continue to invite the members of the Baha’i community, constantly, regularly and effectively, to maintain composure, to observe wisdom, assurance and steadfastness, and, in particular, to prove the truth of the Cause of the Blessed Beauty by good conduct and by avoiding political schemes and concentrating on the spiritual aspect of human life.”
