Ministry of the Interior – The Political Office

Referring to letter No 8287-76849, dated 8 Farvardin 1323 [27 March 1944], about the telegram of Mr. Nourollah Hadipour from Abadeh, addressed to the honourable prime minister and the National Consultative Assembly, concerning the religious disputes between the Muslims and the Baha’is of Abadeh, [this is to] bring to your attention that, for the last two months, the office of the prime minister has been receiving complaints from a group of Baha’is residing in Soghad, Bahman and Eqlid that some disputes have occurred between the Muslims and Baha’is which have led to quarrels and fights. The case was referred to the southern division of the army and to the fifth division of Fars police station. With the consent of both parties, the disputes have been resolved and peace and order have been restored in the region. Nevertheless, we have written to the Gendarmerie and the Governor’s Office of Abadeh that, in case the disputes resurface, they must completely remedy the situation and report the results.  You will be informed of further updates.
