Your Honour, Prime Minister,
In response to letter number 2273 – dated 24 Esfand 1322 [15 March 1944] -- regarding the gathering of people in Azarshahr with the intent of plundering the homes of Baha’is, we convey:
A report from the Office of Governor General in Tabriz indicates that on the fourth of Esfand 1322 [13 March 1944] the people of Azarshahr attacked, looted, and set fire to the homes of several Baha’is. With the intervention of the police and with the assistance of a few gendarmes, their actions were halted and order was restored. The case is being prosecuted in the relevant court.
