The Honourable Public Prosecutor [illegible] of the City of Sari

I wish to respectfully inform you of the following. As that esteemed official is aware, the situation of the displaced Baha’is of the Village of Ivel is such that―because, according to the order of the governor, who said that our work had been referred to the Ministry of Interior and that esteemed ministry told us to wait―all our crops, consisting of wheat, barley and potatoes, have now been destroyed and our living conditions have been disrupted.

What bothers us the most, however, is the fate of our livestock. Since it is a mountainous area and the weather is getting cold], the death of these animals is inevitable.

We therefore ask Your Honour to allow the animals to be taken care of, until our settlement through the ministry is clarified. Of course, now the people from the villagers themselves have demanded that we take care of our animals, and some have even asked us to do so in writing; proof of that can be provided if necessary. We are waiting for Your Honour’s orders.

With our utmost respect,

The displaced Baha’is in the Village of Ivel.
