[Date:] 4 Shahrivar 1325 [26 August 1946]

[Number:] 7763

Honourable Ashraf[1] Prime Minister, Ghavamol-Saltaneh,

Prime Minister,

Referring to letter number 1610, dated 21 Mordad 1325 [12 August 1946], which was enclosed with a copy of the letter from the Ministry of Justice Administration, we hereby submit that: The city of Zahedan is not part of the Ninth Province, and there is no record of what has happened there in the Office of the Governor General. There was no such occurrence in Zabol, and the report issued by the Governorate of Zabol around the same time affirms this.

In Birjand, the dispute between the Baha’is and the Muslims on 8 Tir [1325] [29 June 1946] that led to clashes and unrest in the city, was attended to by immediately dispatching officers to the locality from the Governor General’s Office and the police force; as a result, a group accused of incitement, and perpetrators of anti-social order were arrested and their prosecution is being pursued by the juridical authorities. It has been reiterated that the matter should be seriously pursued, and the truth of the matter become clear, and in any case, the perpetrators and culprits are to be punished. The detailed report was sent to the Ministry of the Interior on 26 Tir 1325 [17 July 1946].
