The Esteemed President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Ahmadinejad

With greetings and respect, I hereby convey that my daughter, Sara Naddafiyan Ghamsari, participated in the National University Entrance Examination for the [academic] year 1385 [2006] and was accepted into Shiraz University in the field of mechanics; however, at the time of enrolment, the authorities of the university refused to enroll her, without providing her any reason or any legal proof. She has, so far, been deprived of continuing her education.

In order to follow up the matter, I have referred to several institutions, following the administrative procedures. This includes the esteemed president of the university, the authorities at the [National] Educational Assessment and Evaluation Organization, the authorities at the Ministry of Education and even the advisor to the Minister of Education, and, finally, the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution. Unfortunately, I have not received any response [from any of these institutions] and my daughter has been left in suspension to this day.

Mr. President, one of your most beautiful campaign slogans was and has been the provision of central justice and the legitimacy of the ninth government, and we have been witnessing its realization in most matters.  My request of Your Highness is that you order an investigation and resolution of the problem of my child, which is in line with the goals of the ninth government (to observe law).

As Your Excellency is perfectly aware, according to the explicit provisions of the Constitution, all members of the nation have equal rights before the law; one of these rights is the opportunity for further education and access to gain knowledge. With due attention to the fact that my daughter, like the rest of the students, should have the opportunity to further her education in her field of interest with no legal impediments, my humble request is that you kindly order that my daughter be relieved from suspension.

With respect and gratitude,

Faramarz Naddafiyan Ghamsari
