The Gathering of Clergy in Tehran
It is customary that the clergy and preachers from different Islamic countries travel to Iran during the hot summer days each year and take restful holidays in suburbs of Tehran. This year, like every other year, they came to Tehran a few days ago. However, some of the opposition newspapers are dressing the news in Ottoman attire, claiming that the clergy are planning to create chaos, and to preach on Baha’ism, during the upcoming days of mourning.
To clarify their claim and to find out the truth, we contacted a few of these clergymen. It was revealed that they had no such intention and had traveled here solely to spend the hot summer days in Tehran’s suburbs. They added that, even though they happened to be here in Tehran during the days of mourning, they have no other intention except to participate in the ceremony.
