Oh! if one day people could unburden their heartfelt stories...

At the beginning of 1 Tir 1336 [22 June 1957] at the instruction of [the] prime minister, a commission called “Review of Suggestions and Criticisms”, under the supervision of Mr. Daha, the deputy prime minister, was formed. The suggestions that are received by this commission will be reviewed by a group of five (5) individuals. Most of the time there are some interesting suggestions, too…

A few days ago, an elderly blind man who was holding a typed letter in his hand, went to the prime minister’s office; after presenting his suggestions, he said, “In a constitutional country all the minorities should have freedom. I suggest that Tehran Radio Station allocate two hours to us.” It must be remembered that this man was from a minority religion, which is not officially recognized. …..
