The Book of Awareness
In rejection of Babism and Bahaism
Written by Dr. Bahram Yari
The Parliamentary Committee of the Federal Republic of Germany did not accept the invitation of the Iranian authorities to visit the Prison of Evin.
The rejection of this invitation comes at a time when the aforementioned Committee had raised the issue of the West’s propaganda regarding human rights in Iran in its discussions with Iranian authorities.
Tehran, Islamic Republic News Service: The Parliamentary Committee of the Federal Republic of Germany, which is currently in Iran, did not accept the invitation of the Iranian authorities to visit the Prison of Evin.
One of the Iranians accompanying the Committee, who is aware of the discussions between the three-member German Committee and the Iranian authorities, told our reporter, “The rejection of this invitation is taking place at a time when the aforementioned Committee has raised the issue of the West’s propaganda regarding human rights in Iran in its discussions with Iranian authorities.”
It must be pointed out that one of the issues that the German publications constantly bring up in order to confuse the minds of the public in that country regarding what is going on in Revolutionary Iran, in addition to promoting and backing the terrorist enemies, is the Islamic Republic of Iran’s treatment of the Zionist Baha’i sect, as one of the key headquarters of espionage in Iran.
Iranian authorities, who always welcome [an opportunity to] allow foreign guests to become familiar with the reality of what is going on in Iran, in order to remove the false allegations that are promoted by propagandists, invited the Parliamentary Committee to visit the Evin Prison to inspect living conditions and behaviour toward the imprisoned terrorists. However, the lack of acceptance of this invitation brings up the question of whether, as it is claimed, the Western authorities are willing to see the reality of the Islamic Revolution, or whether the adversarial positions they take are not simply due to [their] lacking information about the truth.
