Despite Protection of [the United States of] America, United Kingdom, France and Israel:
Iran Prevented the Participation of a Sect Connected to World Zionism at the International Labour Conference.
Tehran- The news service of Kayhan-e Havaei - 3 Tir - 24 June . The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the seventy-sixth session of the International Labour Conference prevented the participation of the political sect of Baha’ism (which is strongly protected by the West), in the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva, at the conference.
This sect (whose headquarters, by the name of the Universal House of Justice, is situated in Haifa, Israel), had requested permission of the International Labour Conference to openly participate at the conference, but the delegation of representatives from the Islamic Republic of Iran requested the rejection of the petition of this sect to have an open presence at the seventy-sixth session of the International Labour Conference. The Iranian delegation, by coordinating with the Muslim countries and the non-aligned countries, called acceptance of this request a direct insult to the feelings and beliefs of one milliard Muslims in the world, and through expanded and swift action, prevented the acceptance of the request of this sect.
Following the objection of the Iranian representatives, the conference had to refer the investigation of the matter to a special commission. Subsequently, the Iranian delegation gave warning to the conference that their recognised supporters would have to accept responsibility for the consequences of their invitation. This report indicates that the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, and also Israel openly supported the membership of this sect in the Labour Conference, and encountered the strong opposition of the Iranian delegation.
Despite all of these [efforts], the conference decided to put the matter to a secret vote, for which the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran volunteered to act as the voting referee, on behalf of the Muslim countries.
Following the voting process, it was announced that the request of the mentioned sect had been rejected by majority vote and eliminated from the agenda of the conference. The American delegation called this decision shameful, and started threatening the opposition. The English delegation aligned with the American government in supporting the mentioned sect, and with the same voice as the American government, insulted the Islamic principles, which received the necessary response from the Iranian delegation. According to informed sources, this sect had been participating every year in the conference as an observer; this time, they requested the right to official participation in the conference and the right to speak.
