The Speaker of the Political Sect of Baha’ism in the United States: “Only Eight Baha’is are Imprisoned in Iran”
Tehran – Kayhan Havai News Service – 24 Ordibehesht – 14 May – The speaker of the political sect of Baha’ism in the United States said that only eight Baha’is were in prison in Iran during the month of April.
Despite the extensive propaganda in the United States in favour of the political sect of the Baha’is and the resolution that is being considered at the U.S. Senate, the speaker of the political sect of Baha’ism, Jeffrey Huffins, confessing to the favourable living conditions of this sect in Iran, said, “For example, there were only eight Baha’is in prison in Iran during the month of April.”
The U.S. Senate is about to vote on an unnecessary resolution, particularly because the president of that country wants to do something for the Baha’i sect.
According to a report by the Associated Press, although this senate resolution is non-binding, it is happening at a time when the U.S. wants Iran to use its influence to assist in getting the Western hostages in Lebanon released.
In view of the confession of the speaker of the Baha’is in America that only eight individuals from the political sect of Baha’ism are in prison, and the fact that this political sect is illegal in Iran, and also the simultaneous occurrence of the consideration of this resolution in the U.S. Senate and the request by Washington to Iran to use its influence to assist in getting the Western hostages in Lebanon released, informed sources believe that the goal of the U.S. government in the hostage issue is to gain propaganda and political advantage, not to resolve the issue. In the meantime, the U.S. has not taken any action to respond to the wishes of the Muslims in Lebanon in relation to releasing the Muslim hostages taken by Israel and other Western-inclined agents in Lebanon.
