Reasons for Western Support for the Baha’i Sect
Jomhoury-e Eslami Newspaper (3 Ordibehesht 1369 [23 April 1990])
In a recent report, Radio America announced the support of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee for the members of the perverse Baha’i sect…
A resolution was passed by 55 senators on the Committee, which called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to provide the members of the Baha’i community with freedom of belief, religion, education, and material rights under the law.
Although the existence of the perverse Baha’i sect in Iran is on the verge of extinction, the Americans, especially the Zionist faction of the government, are not giving up on the remnants of this spying or deceived group.
The fact is that sects such as the Baha’i, Wahhabi, and other arrogant sects have been tools in the hands of the enemies of Islam since their birth and have been used as a tactic for creating sectarianism and discord among Muslims. About a hundred years ago, Britain established a special branch for the religions, and diplomats who worked as secretaries of British embassies in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East were acting for this branch. London has used every angle to influence and oppose Islam. They created the Wahhabi sect for the Sunnis and went to the perverse Baha’i sect for the Shiites.
There are two important points about the perverse Baha’i sect. First of all, about this sect and the sect of Babism, which is its forerunner, history has not made it clear that they were the product of foreign politics, or that they were first created by those individuals and then came under the influence of the colonialists.
During the oppressive period, Baha’is tried hard to make themselves great, in order to scare the others with the large number of their supporters, especially in government positions. Meanwhile, a group that claims to be at the forefront of the fight against this perverse sect is trying to glorify the Baha’is in this way, and make it the main enemy with power and influence…
This [society], despite its emergence from among the Muslims, failed to achieve significant and expressive success on the part of the Muslims. The beliefs of the Baha’is are so weak and baseless that not only is it indefensible, but every fair-minded person, even a non-Muslim, realizes the absurdity of the content of this sect of colonialism, by looking at their material. More interestingly, the sect’s appeal to the Jews and Zoroastrians has been far greater than [it has to] the lost Muslims. The [fact that] their main base has been transferred to Haifa is the reason for their failure.
What emerges from the history of the Baha’i Faith is that the members of this sect, and especially their leaders, have served the enemies of Islam and have spared no effort, not even spying; if we see that the West, led by the United States, supports the Baha’is, it is for that reason. The Baha’i [Faith] is not a religion. It is a political party that was supported by the British government in the past. Now the United States of America supports them, too. These are spies. Basically, a religion that survives in the shadow of the Zionist regime and with the support of Britain and then the United States has no choice but to spy.…
Westerners, and especially members of the U.S. Senate, need to know that the Baha’i case in Iran is over and that they can sell their goods in another market.
