((Decision of the Court))

Mr. Fakhreddin Samimi, son of Hamid, is charged with propaganda in the interest of the misguided group and sect of Bahaism through distributing perverse books as indicated in the indictment before the court.  Considering the evidence in the file; and the result of the investigations and the report of the Ministry of Intelligence Office in the city of Savadkouh; and in light of the final procedural synopsis and the information during the course of the interrogations; and the admissions made by the accused as to having delivered books to Mr. Yahya Rezazadeh; and considering the ban and illegality of propaganda and sectarian activities as announced by the respected public prosecutor general; and the non-official nature of this sect in the constitution and the mere connection with the propagandists of this sect known as the House of Justice under the direction of the foreign agents; furthermore, owing to [his] having created doubt in the minds of Muslims regarding their religious beliefs and principles; and based on other circumstantial evidence in the file; the court finds the accused guilty as charged, and pursuant to Article 500 of the Islamic Penal Code, sentences the named accused to six months’ imprisonment under Ta‘zír[[1]] law.  Books and magazines pertaining to the sect found at the home of the accused are to be destroyed.  This verdict was issued in the presence of the accused and can be appealed within 20 days in the respected courts of appeal in the Province of Mazandaran.
