Ayatollah Naimabadi in a Conversation With Tasnim: A Muslim Does Not Visit Baha’is

The Friday prayer leader of Bandar Abbas, stating that Baha’ism started in England and is serving foreigners, said that Faezeh Hashemi’s meeting with a number of members of this sect was hated by the Islamic community.

Ayatollah Gholam-Ali Naimabadi, the representative of the supreme leader in Hormozgan Province and the Friday prayer leader of Bandar Abbas ... said, “There is no problem in associating with non-Muslims if it is to be effective. One can associate with Buddhists within the boundaries of Islam, but the Baha’is―apart from their corrupt beliefs―are a fierce anti-Islamic current, in opposition to Islam, and, in fact, a spy current.”

The representative of the people of Hormozgan in the Assembly of Experts, referring to the words of the late imam about the perverse Baha’i sect, noted, “Imam Khomeini said, ‘As soon as we looked sharply at the Tudeh Party, the Soviets start screaming in protest. And as soon as we looked sharply to the Baha’is the Americans start screaming in protest, because the Tudeh Party was a Soviet spy complex, and the Baha’is are an American spy complex.’”

He noted that the Baha’is could take advantage of the visits, and said, “Someone may spread the word and the members of the sect may spread that word to other places. They are not just an ordinary case. Baha’ism is not a religion, but is a political movement that began in Britain and serves the foreigners.”

Regarding Faezeh Hashemi’s meeting with a number of leaders of the Baha'i sect, Ayatollah Naimabadi said, “Whoever has committed such an act has done something wrong. This is an ugly and hated act of the Islamic society. It is a wrong action and a rational Muslim does not commit such an act.”
