Four Baha’is were arrested in Qaemshahr

Latest news from Iran

According to previous reports, on 15 Dey 1387 [4 January 2009], Ministry of Intelligence agents raided the homes of five Baha’i citizens living in Qaemshahr. Recent reports indicate that on 21 Dey [1387] [10 January 2009], officers returned to their homes and arrested four Baha’is by court order. These four people are: Mrs. Farzaneh Ahmadzadeh (Mr. Asadi’s wife), Ms. Emilia Fanaiyan, Ms. Taraneh Sanaie, and Ms. Shahnaz Saadati. Ms. Pegah Sanaie was also arrested on 21 Dey [1387] [10 January 2009], but was subsequently released on bail. It is noteworthy that when the agents arrived at the Sanaie family home to arrest them, the family members did not allow them to enter the house. Officers entered over the wall around the house and forced their way into their house.
