Five Baha’is Imprisoned in Tehran Have Been Released on Bail

Today, 11 March 2009 (21 Esfand 1387), we were informed that five of the six Baha’i detainees who had been imprisoned since 14 January 2009 after their homes had been searched, were released on bail. The released prisoners are Mr. Aziz Samandari, Mrs. Jinous Sobhani, Mr. Didar Raoufi, Mr. Payam Aghsani and Mr. Nima Haghar. Mr. Haghar, whose house was one of 12 houses that were searched on 14 January, was later arrested and detained on 1 February, when he was summoned for questioning. According to verified information, Mr. Shahrokh Taef, the sixth detainee in this group, is still in the solitary confinement.
