The First Nuclei of Baha’ism Were Ignorant Night-Prayer Readers

A member of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, stating that Shi’ism is a religion of logic and proof said, “The first nuclei of Babism and Baha’ism were some ignorant night-prayer readers.”

According to the report of Fergheh News, Hassan Rahimpour Azghadi, in a meeting to study the intellectual roots of the extremist movements in the Shiite world, which was held with the help of the Office of Islamic propaganda of Isfahan Province, in the Ahl-e Bayt (AS) Hall, stated, “According to the teachings of the Ahl-e Bayt [Holy Family of Mohammad], most of the fights against extremism took place in this sect, the sect that has always been under pressure because it has fought against all kinds of ungodly governments.”

He said, “First, clashes with the extremists were carried out by the Holy Family,” and added, “During Ali’s governance, the only time he declared someone as a heretic was when he was referring to Shi’ite extremists.” And Imam Ali did not execute anyone for the crime of being a spiritual apostate except those who [referred to] Ali as ‘Allah’.”

He also stated, “The first nuclei of Babism and Bahaism were some of the ignorant night-worshippers, and the ignorant are the victims of this movement.”

The member of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, pointing out that these people sacrifice the school for themselves, while the clergy sacrifice themselves for the school, said, “This movement deals with selective religion and even prioritizes some issues that are not even included in the religion, the examples of which are the existing innovations in the society. He noted that many traditions entered Shi’ism from other places and then became part of the tradition and principle of the Shia sect. On the other hand, many symbols and principles of the sect were excluded and they highlighted the innovations and issues unrelated to religion as the principle.

Rahimpour, observing that these people have nothing to do with what reason and religion say, and that the narrations and verses of the Qur’an should be looked at in their place and the conditions of expression should be observed, said, “If this issue is not observed, sometimes the meaning that is taken from the hadith means something different from what it meant when the hadith was narrated.

He stated that all the verbal traditions related to a particular subject should be examined and in this regard, the reasoned and definite intellect should be used, he said: Sometimes these currents become of the Qur’an and in others they only deal with the Qur’an and sometimes they become absolute rationalists and contrary to the explicit text of Qur’an and religion.
