He added, “In a reminder to Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, I request a review of the national smart card and the elimination of “other options” in the selection of religion, which will lead to the recognition of perverse sects.”

When you include this option in the form, it means recognizing the religions not mentioned in the constitution and the perverse sects, and it is an unconstitutional act.”

Abtahi continued by emphasizing that his remark had not been answered so far. He said, “If my remark is not heeded and no change is made in this regard, I will pursue this issue through other [Islamic Consultative Assembly] monitoring tools, such as questions, etc.” .
