Ayatollah Hashem Hashemzadeh Herisi, the representative of the people of East Azerbaijan in the Assembly of Experts, in an interview with Fars News Agency, stated that Baha’ism is low and [it is] worthless to make mention of them in our Islamic society. He said, “False ones should be forgotten by not mentioning them.”

Stating that Baha’ism is not a religious or a belief sect, he said, “This sect has colonial and English roots, and the British have always helped them to survive and have also given them freedom of action.”

The representative of the people of East Azerbaijan in the Assembly of Experts concluded, “The Baha’i sect is now a weak sect, and those who mention it have helped to revive it.”
