Murdered on 26 September 2016 in Yazd
Farhang Amiri lost his father and 6 other members of his family, who were killed owing to being adherents of the Baha’i Faith in Hormozak, when he was only a two-year-old child. Farhang Amiri and his wife, along with their 4 children, were residents of Yazd. Owing to religious bigotry, he suffered a lot but did not leave Yazd. On 26 September 2016, Mr. Amiri was attacked, outside his residence and in front of his family members by two individuals and died shortly after in Hospital.
His body was laid to rest according to the Baha’i ceremony by his family and friends.
