Disclosure of Relationship of People’s Fadaian Guerrillas with Baha’is of Shiraz

Ashraf Dehghani, one of the leaders of the Communist organization of “[Iranian] People’s Fadaian Guerrillas”, in the book “The Repented Ones” has revealed the group’s connection and cooperation with the Baha’is of Shiraz.

According to Farda’s report, in this book, which is one of the official documents of this group, it is claimed that Baha’is, immediately after the Islamic Republic came into power, were attacked by the government agents, and the Hezbollah group attacked the Saadi County, which was a Baha’i neighbourhood of Shiraz. At this point, the People’s Fadaian guerrillas assisted the Baha’is the most and supported them.

The Fadaian-e Khalgh guerrilla group was one of the armed organizations that emerged in the late 40s [1961] based on Marxist ideology, and after the revolution fought against the Islamic Republic. Some experts emphasise the influence of this group, along with Monafeghin [Mojahedin], in the incident of 7 Tir 1360 [28 June 1981].
