Activities Performed for the Month of Muharram

After the month of Ramadan, when some activities against the Baha’is took place in Iran and the government succeeded in timely prevention of the expansion of those disorders, all predicted that there would certainly be convulsions during the days of Muharram, and based on these assumptions the government instructed the enforcement of strict order. In addition to this instruction, Brigadier General Bakhtiar met with the Shi’ite authority in Qom, and it was pointed out to the clergy that due to some considerations, the repetition of the incident of Ramadan should be avoided. Therefore, there was no mention of the issue [Baha’is] in any of the pulpits.
