Mr. MARIO MARQUES

Referring to your letter no. 127 dated 12 July 1993, we would like to draw your attention to the following matters:

1- The claim of destruction of Bahai’s Cemetery is strongly denied.

2- The Municipality of Tehran for the betterment of the Town processing several projects in a vast different areas of the city.

3- What already has been done taking out about 20 centimetres of the surface soil in a large area in the west of Tehran not only the area of the mentioned cemetery, which even has not been included those grave less than 30 years age.

4- Some project in the other part of city are under process even the old muslims cemeteries, under the same objectives.

5- In any case the authorities tried their best not to touch the graves less that the legal age

       (30 years).

Hopefully the above justifications would convince you and give the relevant persons comfort.
