Larijani’s Explanations About Retribution and Stoning, Execution and Amputation of the Hand

… “We have accepted some of the West’s treaties as human rights issues, but this is not a reason to leave its interpretation to the West,” said [the] adviser to the Judiciary. He said, “The West says every human being has the right to change their religion or propagate a new religion. But in Iran there is freedom of religion, and Baha’ism is not a religion at all; its followers live and trade freely in Iran and have pocketed a good deal of money, but these Baha’is do not have the right to propagate their religion, and it is forbidden in Iran.”

In this case, Imam Khomeini was also asked, and he said that religions in Iran live according to the citizenship contract but have no right to propagate...
