Falsafi, the Preacher, At the Mosque of Seyyed Azizollah
Falsafi, the preacher who has been prohibited from giving sermons at the microphones of the Tehran radio station during the month of Ramadan, spoke this year at the Mosque of Seyyed Azizollah in the bazaar, with no radio transmission.
Falsafi’s religious talks began daily at 1:00 pm and during his speeches, he did not make any mention of the fight against the religious minorities, which he had brought up three years ago. He alluded only to some political issues related to national affairs. It is not yet clear how much Falsafi will receive for his thirty days of speeches from the organizers of these gatherings and sermons at the Mosque of Seyyed Azizollah
In view of the prohibition placed on Falsafi, it is foreseen that Seyyed Sadroddin Balaghi, from next year, will give the religious speeches on the Tehran radio station during the month of Ramadan. Seyyed Sadroddin Balaghi had been prohibited from speaking on the radio since 28 Mordad 1332 [19 August 1953]. However, after he received the Royal Prize for the best book of the year, his translation of the stories of the Qu’ran has been broadcast on the radio under his name, daily at 7:15 am. His proficient and skilful translation of the story of Jacob and Joseph, which has been broadcast on the radio for the past ten consecutive days, affected the audience to the extent that a large number of listeners, by sending many letters to the radio station, requested the station to re-broadcast these exciting stories at an appropriate time. You should also know that Seyyed Sadroddin Balaghi is exactly the opposite of Falsafi. He spends the days of his life in a very humble house on an old and outworn carpet.
