Dismissal of Government Authorities and Their Associates Accused of Being Baha’is,
Until now most of those who held high positions in government departments and who were suspected of being Baha’is, have lost their positions. Two persons who were removed from their positions at the end of the last year were [Mr.] Saadat, parliamentary assistant to the Ministry of Intelligence and Tourism, and Engineer Malek-Abhari, Chairman of the Board and Head of the Iranian Telecommunications Company. In the government of the Islamic Republic there will be positions in government departments for Muslims and [officially] recognised minorities. In recent years some people who were outside the religion of Islam had found positions as Ministers and Deputy Ministers.
