Ministry of the Interior,

It is respectfully reported that: On the date of 28 Dey 1322 [19 January 1944], the head of the District of Qorveh telegraphically reported that on day 26 of the current month [26 Dey 1322] [17 January 1944] a fight started between some Muslims and Baha’is in Qorveh.  Immediately, the police force was ordered to investigate the matter and report the situation. The regiment of the police force of Sanandaj replied with letter number 14618/j- 13 Esfand [13]22 [4 March 1944], referring to report 6195 of 3 Esfand [13]22 [23 February 1944] of the police force of Qorveh, announcing that Mr. Hodaei, the deputy of the Department of Education of Qorveh, had been engaged in Islamic propaganda since a while ago, and the subject of propaganda had changed its real purpose and turned into fighting and conflict between Baha’is and Muslims of Qorveh.

 According to the report of the police force, [an order], under number 4165, had been sent from the office of the Governorate to the Department of Education to replace Mr. Hodaie as head of the Department of Education of Qorveh. The Education Department, in letter number 153, mentioned that Mr. Hodaie was not culpable and had introduced the security forces and judiciary of the locality responsible. Now, as the matter of the conflict between Baha’is and Muslims of Qorveh may reach another area and cause problems for the government, by sending the copies of the exchanged correspondence, the complaints received from the residents of Qorveh, and the reports of the head of the local district, [we] await receipt of your appropriate orders.
