Secretary of the Political Committee for Article 90 of the [Islamic Consultative Assembly] Commission

I Was Politely Threatened / 5 + 1 Wants Recognition of the Baha’i Sect

The member of Ardabil, attending the general assembly of the Basij [Mobilization] of Ardabil, said, “Recognition of the perverse Baha’i sect and deviation from the red lines are among the conditions of the 5 + 1 agreement.”

... He said, “The other side explicitly demands the recognition of the perverse Baha’i sect and restrictions on centrifuges, and demands deviation from the set red lines, which is not acceptable at all.”

Mostafa Afzalifard, secretary of the Political Commission for Article 90 of the [Islamic Consultative Assembly], said in another part of his speech, “In some cases, including the great economic corruption, I was politely threatened and even told to think about the future and upcoming situations, but I did not accept, and I continued, because we grew up with the Basij and martyrs culture, and we will not accept this.”

In the end, he said, “The Ardabil Railway contract will be concluded with a Chinese company on Monday, 3 Aban [25 October 2014].”
