[Ministry of the] Interior

Office of Governor General of Isfahan Province

Following [report] 54 and after having been informed of the news in relation to current clashes between the Muslims and the Baha’is in Boroujen, at 11 pm at night of 15 [Aban 1329] I departed for Boroujen and arrived there at 7 am.  We were informed by the Army Regiment in Isfahan that one group of soldiers, together with Captain Adib, had arrived in the locality and the Regiment gave temporary responsibility for maintaining security to Major Rafiei.

This morning, a meeting was held in the municipality in the presence of the above-mentioned people along with a number of religious leaders, trustees, and influential local individuals.    They were provided with the necessary advice and [we] gave assurances to these gentlemen that the matter will be investigated; [consequently] they gave an undertaking [to do as they had been advised] and the shops in the bazar reopened, people returned to work, peace was restored, and everything returned to normal.
