Hojjatol-Islam Afshari, the Sharia Judge of Bakhtaran Islamic Revolutionary Court

In continuation of the interview, the Sharia judge said, “About 97% of members of the group of munafiqin [stirrers of sedition] in Bakhtaran and surrounding areas, have been arrested and their organization has been completely destroyed. The principals responsible for these minority groups, accompanied by their lower rank members who had created a new administration with a lot of ammunition, photocopy machines and internal group analyses, were arrested and put on trial last week”.

About the situation of the Baha’is, he said, “Should these people conspire to [commit] espionage against the Islamic Republic, we [will] deal with them as with anti-revolutionaries. But should they not conspire, even though they are infidels or hold beliefs contrary to Islam, [they] will be set free.

A few of them that were arrested last week were released by signing a commitment [not to participate in religious activities”.
