Ayatollah Mousavi Bojnordi, the head of the Supreme Court, announced during an interview an amnesty for a group of the prisoners and the condition for the release of the group of prisoners.

An increased number of the public prisoners in the country were released, following the recent memorandum of the Imam’s (May God extend his shadow) Parole Board.  These prisoners were released based on certain conditions, according to the announcement of Ayatollah Siyyid Mousavi Bojnordi, the head of the Supreme Court, during an interview with a reporter of the Islamic Republic’s news agency.

In continuation of his interview, he added that, according to the memorandum of the Parole Board of the Imam (may God extend his shadow), an increased number of the prisoners with ordinary crimes— except those [who had committed] anti-revolution criminal activities, those engaged in the importing and manufacturing of narcotics, those from the perverse Baha’i sect, those convicted with a history of rape,  professional fraudsters, armed robbers, and those convicted of corruption and briberyhave received amnesty or had their prison sentences decreased”.
