The Haziratu’l-Quds Was Turned Into a Radio Station and a Family Clinic for Army Officers
For some time, the City of Mahabad has had a local radio station run by Major Radpour and the locals enjoyed its interesting programmes. Until recently, the commander-in-chief of the Second Northwest Division, Major General Moqhbeli, took steps to complete the radio station and the broadcast of Mahabad’s voice. As a result of his efforts, the budget for the presenters and musicians of Mahabad’s radio station was provided.
The ceremony for the inauguration of Mahabad Radio Station was held on the first Thursday of July, the blessed birthday of Queen Soraya Pahlavi, in the Haziratu’l-Quds, which was occupied by the disciplinary forces. A portion of that was reserved for the administration of the radio and the other part of it is dedicated to a family clinic for the army officers. The inauguration was carried out and announced by Major General Moghbeli with the cutting of the three-color ribbon.
In his opening speech, the major general, commander of the army, said that in obedience to the commands of His Majesty, the general public must join hands and create a new Mahabad and use all their possibilities to ensure the comfort of the people. Then, Mr. Haj Seyyed Ali Hosseini expressed his gratitude for the charitable actions of the commander in Mahabad. Then through the guidance of Major Radpour, the head of the military police, and the head of the radio station and advertising, who have all played an effective role in broadcasting the previous and current programmes of the station, the guests visited different parts of the audio player.
At around 7:30, the ceremony ended with the broadcast of the national anthem.
