There is a rumour that you belong to the perverse Baha’i sect.  In order to clarify this matter, please take one of the following two actions and notify us of the results as soon as possible:

1. Announce in one of the newspapers with high circulation (Keihan - Etellaat - Islamic Republic) that you are not connected to said sect and send to this office the newspaper clippings containing [your statement].

2. Submit to this office a certificate issued by a religious jurist [authority] confirming that you have no connection to the Baha’i sect. Otherwise, as Article 6, approved by the Revolutionary Council, mandates that belonging to one of the country’s officially recognized religions is a condition of government employment, your employment will be terminated.
