1190 – What is Your Highnesses’s View on Baha’ism and Sufism?

Answer: Generally, it is not permissible to have a supportive and agreeable approach, or any communication that promotes and strengthens the perverse sect, and it is necessary to leave off of association and meetings with them. God is the All-Knowing.

The Perverse Baha’i Sect

1198 - Many Baha’is residing in the Islamic Republic say, “We are following Iran’s laws and have not committed any crimes, but are denied human rights.” Are Baha’is, especially the Baha’is living in Iran, considered as Ahl-i-Dhimmi[1] or not? Is it necessary to pay blood money to the next of kin of a Baha’i [victim] or not?

Response – Baha’is are not Ahl-i-Dhimmi and do not have the right to receive blood money. Ahl-i-Dhimmi applies to Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians, given that they act according to its Dhimmitude[2] Sharia law. God is the All-Knowing.

1199 - Has the rejection of the request for exclusive inheritance of Baha’i heirs by the courts of justice a religious reason?

Answer: If a request for the exclusive inheritance of [the property of] a Baha’i is for a Muslim heir, it is acceptable, but if it is for his Baha’i heirs, it is not acceptable, because inheritance between [Baha’is] has no legitimacy. It is not permissible to accept the said request. God is the All-Knowing.

1200 – Is acceptance and registration of Baha’is in the academic institutions in accordance with the Islamic expediency and standards?

Response – [The Baha’i organization] is engaged in espionage and is an anti-Islamic organization, hence the registration [of Baha’is] is not permitted and is against the Islamic expediencies and the principles and values of the Islamic Revolution. God is the All-Knowing.

1201- What is the Muslim duty in dealing with a Baha’i in the case of buying and selling, renting and borrowing household items, and accepting their gifts?

Answer - If the matters mentioned in the question strengthen them, it is not permissible. God is the All-Knowing.

1202 - What is your opinion about talking and shaking hands and expressing friendship with members of the perverse Baha’i sect?

Answer – Showing friendship, shaking hands and other forms of association is not permissible. God is the All-Knowing.

Misleading Books

1203- What is your opinion about reading books that open the reader’s mind to the conspiracies that the superpowers use against others, such as books written by a politician or a spy? Please state your points of view, considering that they may contain some immoral points in them.

Answer - There are different cases. Each book must be investigated separately in order to provide an answer related to that book; however, in general, it is not permissible to read books that may misguide the reader about his beliefs or ethics. God is the All-Knowing.

1204 – Is reading the un-Islamic books, such as books about Baha’ism, Communism, and other atheistic ideologies permissible or not?

Answer – It is religiously prohibited to keep and read misleading books, except for one who has the power to distinguish right from wrong and has the right intention―like rejecting the useless materials.  God is the All-Knowing.
